In the first session, the therapist will spend the time getting to know you, and their questions might include: strengths, current challenges, family, employment, health, and any relevant background information, including a bit about your childhood or significant life events.
In the second session, your therapist will usually discuss the proposed treatment plan with you, and if you agree you will commence treatment immediately. At all stages of treatment, your perspective is important- after all, it's about you.

Extenuating Circumstances
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you encounter a situation such as a medical emergency, sudden illness, bereavement, or other circumstances beyond your control. If you think you are falling sick, it is better to reschedule than risk a cancellation fee. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. We will assess each case individually and may consider exceptions to the cancellation policy.
No-Shows
Clients who do not attend their appointment without notifying us prior will be considered no-shows. No-shows will be charged the full session fee. To avoid unnecessary charges, please notify us if you are unable to attend your appointment.
Payment and Refunds
Upon early cancellation, your prepayment will be applied to your rescheduled appointment or if no appointment is booked, you will be refunded within 3-4 days. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the practice retaining the full prepaid session fee.
Reminder System
We provide automated appointment reminders via email and text message. These reminders aim to help you remember your appointments and reduce the likelihood of late cancellations or no-shows.
Clinician Cancellations
At times your clinician may experience an illness or other urgent matter, requiring a late notice cancellation. We aim to provide you with as much notice as possible, and will email or sms you as soon as possible. Please check your phone on the day of the appointment. Full refund will be provided through our Zanda booking system.
You will be offered an alternative session time and the clinician will do their best to accommodate your availability.
Policy Review
Our cancellation policy is periodically reviewed and may be updated. The latest version of our cancellation policy will be published here on our website
